Have my studio set up and am back painting!

Coastline III is a smaller piece. It’s 7.5″ x 10.5″ and selling for just over $200. The sky looks a slightly stormy, however, I’m liking its subtle yellow hues. An indication that what lies beneath is pure sunshine.

This is one of the smallest pasel paintings that I’ve worked on to date, and it comes with its challenges! Smaller canvas with smaller details mean that my pastel pieces that I work with are proportionately smaller in size. The larger of the pastel pieces in the photo is a typical size that I work in, while the smaller piece is what I’m using to create Coastline III. There is also a greater tendency of crushing the pastel between my fingers. The upside to painting is such a small format is that the landscape is so cute!
